Free Slack app · no plans, no limits

Find a date without leaving Slack.

Type /whennot in a channel and a poll appears in the conversation. Your team marks the days they can’t make — or says every day works with one button — and the message shows the best date as answers come in.

  • Any public channel
  • No WhenNOT accounts for your team
  • Updates as answers come in
How it works

One command, one form, one message.

Everything starts where the conversation already is. Nobody installs anything, and nobody needs a WhenNOT account to answer.

01 · Start

Type /whennot in a channel.

Use /whennot or /whennot create in any public channel, or in a private one you’ve added WhenNOT to. The poll is posted in the channel you typed it in.

02 · Fill in

A short form opens, right in Slack.

Name the event, pick the first and last day, and add your name. Your email comes from your Slack profile, so there’s nothing to sign up for.

  • Whole days between the two dates you pick
  • Posted to the channel the moment you create it
03 · Answer

Everyone answers from the message.

The poll lands in the channel with four buttons. People mark the days they can’t make, say every day works, push it to later, or open the results.

  • Mark unavailable — your own link to the calendar on whennot.com, no sign-up
  • I’m fully available — one tap, answered without leaving Slack
  • Remind me later — a reminder by email and Slack DM in 3 hours, then 24
  • View results — the ranked dates on whennot.com
App Home

A button to start, and your polls in one place.

Open WhenNOT in Slack’s sidebar and the Home tab has a Create New Poll button, the polls you’ve made with their answer counts, and the ones you’ve answered — handy for the person who’s never typed a slash command in their life.

What you get

The whole poll, inside the channel.

  • Any public channel

The poll posts where you typed the command — any public channel, or a private one once you’ve added the app.

  • Cross out, don’t list

People mark the days they can’t make. Every day they leave unmarked counts as free.

  • One tap when every day works

“I’m fully available” answers for you right in Slack, with no link to open.

  • Remind me later

Busy right now? WhenNOT reminds you in 3 hours, and again in 24 if you still haven’t answered.

  • Live count

The message updates as answers come in, with the best date so far. View results opens the full ranking on the web.

  • Free

No premium plan, no seat limits, no catch. The Slack app is free like the rest of WhenNOT.
